Melanie's Cuban Experience
Cuba was absolutely amazing. I loved the culture & they love the Canadians down there!
I had the opportunity to golf since we were staying at the Melia Las Americas, 5 star resort, which is attached to the golf course in Varadero. We had an ocean view room & could hear the ocean every night! It was perfect. This was a FAM trip which means I was working. We had seen 16 different resorts within 1 week.
I did have some free time to experience the beach & the Caribbean Sea. The beach is white white sand and the ocean a beautiful blue. The town of Varadero has tons of little kiosks to shop from & restaurants to check out.
The nightlife is also hopping. They have a few good bars. One bar we checked out you paid $10.00 for the cover & then you receive free drinks for the night. Our group also went to Havana for one day & one night. If you are travelling to Cuba it’s a must see & do- the city of Havana is full of History. It was so neat seeing the guards & all the politics involved.
They have the largest outdoor market that I’ve been to in the Caribbean — in Havana. You can wheel & deal with them all you want! I went to a cigar factory of course!
I’ve planned many weddings to Cuba since I’ve been back. Cuba is full of history, art, culture & adventure.
