Janet Oakley, Manager, began her travel career in 1980 and then left in 1985 to take time for her family. She re-entered the travel industry in 2000 with Holiday Travel. Janet's passion for scuba diving has brought her to many exciting destinations such as Hawaii, Bonaire, Cozumel, Cuba, Costa Rica, and most recently a cruise to Roatan, Belize City, and Cozumel. Janet enjoys all types of travel! She's even visited the polar bears in Churchill and been on an Alaskan Cruise. She is always up for a challenge and enjoys arranging the most interesting itineraries. She also has experience in arranging vacation weddings and group travel. Melanie Mourant began her career with Holiday Travel in 2000, bringing with her a wealth of experience in the tourism industry. Melanie has a passion for people and travel. She's visited Varadero and Havana in Cuba, Punta Cana and La Romana in Dominican Republic, Cancun and the Mayan Riviera in Mexico, Las Vegas and many more destinations throughout the USA and Canada. She's had the opportunity to visit Carnival Cruise lines in Miami and has seen 8 different ships. Melanie has experience in helping plan your wedding group down south or on the ship (check out what one of our customers has to say here). She specializes in leisure and adventure travel. Kirsten Ising began her career in 1982 in Cologne, Germany. She's traveled the world! Cruises are one of her specialties. She's sailed the Mediterranean and the Caribbean Sea. Traveling Europe by train, ferry, car and air have given Kirsten the full European experience. If you are interested in a tour or going backpacking, Kirsten can help plan the perfect holiday. Teri Kis began her travel career in 1989 and is excited to join the team at Holiday Travel. She has had the opportunity to travel throughout the US to exciting destinations such as New Orleans, Las Vegas, California and Florida. She has also enjoyed such hot spots as Hawaii, Cancun, Cozumel, the Mayan Riviera, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Punta Cana and Jamaica. Teri has enjoyed travelling across Canada from Toronto to Vancouver Island and up to Whitehorse with a special place in her heart for Banff. Having two daughters, one of her personal favourites is Disney. With five visits, she has firsthand knowledge to make your Disney vacation memorable and magical. Growing up going on fishing trips with her dad, Teri hopes to arrange your perfect fishing adventure. Christy Schmidt began her career with Holiday Travel in 2000. Having worked full time for most of her career, Christy is part-time during the school months. Fluent in High and Low German as well as English, Christy specializes in travel to South America. She also has experience in selling international tickets to destinations such as Asia, Europe, and Africa. Her travels have taken her to Germany, Holland, Grand Cayman, Northern Mexico, and many destinations in the USA. Lisa Doerksen began her travel career in 1993. She took a break in 1998 for her family and now has re-entered the travel industry in 2006. She brings with her a variety of travel experience. She’s travelled to Phoenix and Mesa in Arizona, toured the ghost towns and visited the old west. She also enjoyed some white water rafting. Lisa has visited Disneyland in Los Angeles and Six Flags in 1995. She’s travelled to Disney World and Busch Gardens in Orlando, Florida. Sue Nikkel has owned and operated Holiday Travel for over 30 years. Having completed two years of travel in 2003, Sue returned home with fantastic memories and a wealth of information. Her travels include: the Great Siberian Train Trek across China, Mongolia, Siberia and Russia, trekking in the Himalayan Mountains, bussing through Central and South America, extensive travel in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and Mexico. The greatest travel accomplishment to date is her cycle across Canada in the summer of 2003.
